Are You Passing Your Life Tests?

Tests have always been a part of your life, whether you realize it or not. Most of the choices you make about what to do in life involves a test. Living life is a series of tests and sometimes we find ourselves repeating the same lessons over and over until we finally "get it". Will you choose to pass?
Tests come at every interval of life--in school, on career paths, and often play out more directly in your relationships with others. For example, a test many of us have experienced is one of patience and perseverance. Hanging in there when you are just tired of hanging is perseverance in action. Allowing time to get from point "A" to point "B" without stressing too much requires patience. Rushing to do something--to get it over with and move on too quickly--can sometimes cause more issues in the long run. Learning to be patient "in the waiting" can actually help you through many uncomfortable places you may find yourself in this life.
Test Situation 1: Have you been in a situation that causes you discomfort and all you want is "out?" Say there is someone in your life that is draining your energy and you are just tired of the situation. Are you allowing them to continue to use you, enabling them to help deplete your energy? You may find yourself constantly giving and doing for this person, who keeps making promises to do and give back to you, but never seems to get around to it. Eventually, the test will end, but how it ends depends upon you. Will you keep letting this person use or abuse you or will you decide to stop it?
Test Situation 2: Let's imagine that you are working with a group of negative, backbiting individuals. That kind of hostile environment can take a toll on you, if you allow that negative energy to seep into you. To guard yourself, remember that you cannot change others' attitudes and behaviors. You can however, control how you will respond to their negativity. One way is to model a positive and respectful disposition and to choose to stay clear of the politics and gossip that tries to entice you to participate. Just because somebody else is cutting others down unmercifully, doesn't mean you have to be a part of it. What goes around comes around. Will you let others' negative actions direct yours?
Four (4) Good Reasons to Pass Your Life Tests:
1) To teach you a lesson of great value (experience is the best teacher, sometimes)
2) To help you grow as an individual and become better (if things stay the same, nothing changes;
change = growth)
3) To make you wiser and stronger (your age isn't necessarily a factor in this area)
4) To help serve someone in a same or similar situation (all of life is meant to help others
along the way)
Welcome the challenging situations that come into your life as motivators to make you better! Going forward to reach new heights on your journey begins with learning, accepting, and deciding to do so. Passing your life tests truly benefits you!
