Unexpected Circumstances That Trip Women Up
© 2007 Heart Tones

I s your life free of the unexpected? Probably not. Women often face challenging and stressful situations that come at the most inopportune times. At any given moment unexpected circumstances will come into your life even when you are upbeat, positive and have the best of intentions. Learning how to keep these intruders from tripping you up can be difficult.

Sometimes it seems as though these situations are guiding our decisions in life without our consent. For example, look at the grandmother who finds herself raising her grandchildren and sacrificing her life again at the time she felt was finally “hers”. What about the woman who dreams of starting her own business, but family obligations and responsibilities dictate otherwise. Then there is the single, working mom who is struggling to make ends meet without any child support, hoping her children won't get sick and cause her to miss work.

Unexpected circumstances seem to block our intended plans in life and can cause frustration, bitterness and anger—at least initially. We risk losing sight of the good that is often hidden within the burden--that is until we come to terms with these uninvited events. Although we can't avoid what life brings, we must be prepared by expecting the unexpected.

Learning how to breathe easy in the midst of turbulent times by looking beyond the unanticipated roadblocks is key. Knowing also that "this too will pass" can give you a deeper peace and a better appreciation for what will come after the trying circumstance. The popular phrase, “just take it one day at a time”, certainly rings true when the unexpected happens in your life.
